Doyen had an outstanding 4 year old season finishing it as Timeform’s Horse of the Year with a rating of 132 and was assessed as having put up two of the best performances in Europe over 11/2 miles.
He won the Grade 2 Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot by 6L. and in doing so broke the 12 furlong course record, which had stood for 21 years. He then went on to win the Group 1 King George & Queen Elizabeth Stakes at the same course by 3 lengths and he retired to stud as Europe’s fastest 12 furlong Group 1 Winner.

His dam, Moon Cactus, was 2nd in the Gr.1 French Oaks and was third in the Gr.1 1000 Guineas.
His female line includes the great Mill Reef and Prix de L’Arc winner Levmoss as maternal sires.
