FIFTY STARS the Group 1 winning son of Sea The Stars arrives at Sunnyhill

Fifty Stars Retires to Sunnyhill Stud

Fifty Stars the GR1 winner of 10 races has arrived to take up stud duties at Sunnyhill for the 2022 season in partnership with Jack Cantillon's Bloodstock Racing.

 

Fifty Stars won ten races from seven to 10 furlongs including five black type races. His career best performance was when beating six previous Group 1 winners in the Group 1 Australian Cup. He also won three Group 2 races and a Group 3 as well as being placed seven times . He won a total of £1,517,368.

Johnny Allen, former Irish NH jockey and a leading flat rider in Australia who rode Fifty Stars to Group 1 success remarked;
 

"Fifty Stars has speed, class and good looks - everything you need in a National Hunt sire in Ireland"

Fifty Stars has settled in very well since his arrival and seems to have a perfect temperament. He is a very well made individual with a magnificent loose walk and has the perfect mix of speed and stamina in his pedigree to suit NH mares.

Impressive first Pt-to-Pt winner for LUCKY SPEED from first crop of 4 yr olds

By winning his maiden 4 yr old Pt-to-Pt on his debut TOP SPEED is the first Pt-to-Pt Winner by Lucky Speed from only his second runner.

 

Top Speed won at Ballindenisk on 4th December by an impressive 15 lengths and is officially the joint top rated 4 yr old Pt-to-Pt winner of the Autumn 2021 season with a rating of 95++

 

He was bred by Arthur Craigie in Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow.  Purchased as a foal by Peter Nolan Bloodstock he was resold as a 3 yr old when Luke Murphy acquired him at a bargain price.
